INFRARED SAUNA
INFRARED SAUNA FAQs
WHAT DO I WEAR?
For the best experience, it is recommended to wear as minimal clothing as possible or sauna in the nude. You will be provided with towels to provide a minimal barrier between you and the sauna walls.
AM I ALONE IN THE SAUNA?
Yes. However, you may choose to have more than one person in the sauna, but you will never be in the sauna with someone that you do not know. It is you private experience and you want to get the most out of it: sometimes that includes great company.
WILL I GET TOO HOT?
No. You have complete control over the temperature. It is recommended that you start at 120 degrees or more but if you are not experienced with heat, you may need to work into it. It is a comfortable heat, just as is the heat that you get from the Sun: infrared heat. It is also advisable to always drink water during and after the sauna.
HOW DO I PREPARE?
Simply come hydrated and ready to relax. You will want to wear comfortable clothing and know that you may continue to sweat (if you do) even after you are out of the sauna, so prepare for that. Otherwise, we take care of everything for you.
WILL I SWEAT?
It depends. The goal of a sauna is not to sweat, just as sweating is not the goal of exercise. It is a byproduct. Depending upon many factors, such as hydration level, time of day, etc. you may sweat or you may not. We do not want to sweat and just get dehydrated. Instead, let the light do what it was intended to do.
WHY WAIT TO SAUNA?
Yes. There are many medical conditions that would prevent or at least not be advisable to use the sauna. If you are susceptible to heat exhaustion or any other heat induced condition, you should consult with you physician before attempting.
